DOES YOUR AQUATIC FACILITY SIGNAGE COMPLY WITH THE NEW ANSI AND NSPI OR YOUR STATE REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS?
Improper or missing signage around your swimming pool or spa could make you legally liable for accidents and injuries.
States continuously revise their sign requirements for public and semi-public swimming pools and spas.
Signs that do not contain the proper warnings as specified by your state can make you liable as a pool owner/operator. Aquatic Technology’s research department stays in contact with all fifty states. Individual state’s rules, lifeguard signs, regulation signs and warning signs are updated when required.
These signs are now available from Aquatic Technology Inc. ® Our signs meet the requirements of the laws for all of the fifty states.
Our staff can answer any questions you may have concerning your facility's sign requirements. We are able to inform you of each individual state’s requirements, not only for signs, but required safety equipment.
The new ANSI Z535-1998 standards modernize the hazard alert system that uses various signal words and colors to distinguish between levels of hazards. Aquatic Technology recommends utilizing these researched standards to provide more uniform and consistent visual communications that promote recognition and avoidance of hazards.
Aquatic Technology signs use headers, signal words, and pictures that can help communicate the importance of your aquatic sign to your patrons.
DANGER signs indicate an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. This signal word is to be limited to the most extreme situations.
WARNING signs indicate a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION signs indicate a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in moderate or minor injury. It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.
NOTICE signs are used to indicate a statement of company policy as the message relates directly or indirectly to the safety of personnel or the protection of property. GENERAL SAFETY sign legends are used to indicate general instructions relative to safe work practices, reminders of proper safety procedures, and the location of safety equipment.
We recommend the use of symbols, which have been validated for recognition. Our safety symbols have demonstrated their ability to provide critical information for accident prevention no matter what language is spoken. Illustrated or pictorial signs provide a rapid communication for your safety message and therefore providing greater safety for all.
Our Aquatic Signs can be used worldwide. Look around. The US population today is multiethnic. Our signs are currently available to you in English and Spanish. More languages are under design.
