The push pull valve is the simplest type of backwash valve and the easiest to operate and maintain. Note: The valve operation is often opposite on sand versus DE filters on Pentair (PacFab) and several other filters. On Sta-Rite filters, the filter mode is alwas down ad backwash is always up.
