California ADA standards specify that a circular or triangular sign be mounted onto restroom doors. These ADA complaint signs are injection-molded plastic with raised Grade 2 Braille lettering. Triangular signs are 11 x 10 inches and circular signs are 12 inches in diameter. Foam tape is provided for easy mounting. These signs are best used indoors.

SIGN MOUNTING

Where permanent identification is provided for rooms and spaces, signs shall be installed on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door.

Where there is no wall space to latch side of the door, including at double-leaf doors, signs shall be placed on the nearest adjacent wall.

Mounting height shall be 60 inches above the finish floor to the centerline of the sign.

Mounting location for such signage shall be so that a person may approach with 3 inches of signage without encountering protruding objects or standing within 3 inches of signage without encountering protruding objects or standing within the swing of a door.
