Suzanne Girard Eberle, MS, RD, is a sports dietitian who practices what she teaches. As a multisport athlete, Girard Eberle has 30 years of competitive endeavors under her belt. As a USA Track & Field 5,000-meter champion and member of three national teams, she has raced in countries around the world. Today, she runs 50 miles per week, is an avid cyclist, and enjoys hiking and climbing (rock and alpine). She has reached the summits of Mount Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, and Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.
She has served as contributing editor for Running Times and her nutrition advice has been featured in USA Today, Newsweek, Runner’s World, Men’s Fitness, SELF, SHAPE, and Marathon & Beyond. The founder of Eat, Drink, Win!, Girard Eberle holds a master’s degree in clinical nutrition from Boston University. She is a longtime member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Dietetic Association (ADA), and SCAN: Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists. She lives and plays outside in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, John, and whippet, Asa Babu.
