Our Standard Braille Signs are an economical way to comply with all ADA requirements for permanent signage. Easy-to-read messages, clear graphics and Grade 2 Braille are features of these signs. Made of injection molded plastic and 1/8 inch thick, these signs measure 6 x 9 inches and are best used inside. Double-sided tape is included.
Mounting Requirements for Braille Signs: Where permanent identification is provided for rooms and spaces, signs shall be installed on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door. Where there is no wall space to latch side of the door, including at double-leaf doors, signs shall be placed on the nearest adjacent wall.
Mounting Height: Mounting height shall be 60 inches above the finish floor to the centerline of the sign.
Mounting Location: Location for such signage shall be so that a person may approach with 3 inches of signage without encountering protruding objects or standing within 3 inches of signage without encountering protruding objects or standing within the swing of a door.
