AstralPool 24" x 24" VGB Unblockable Main Drains are for all commercial swimming pools, spas, and waterparks to meet the Virginia Graeme Baker Law (VGB) implemented in the USA market for 2009. Meets and certified to the ASME/ANSI A112.19.8-2008 Code.

Body of drain made from vacuum infusion molded FRP with white gel coat water contact surface.
Grating is made from polyethylene plastic specially formulated to withstand UV deterioration. Grating surface is made up with four (4) 12" x 12" grating sections that are permanently fastened to the body of the drain by 4 stainless steel 10-24 bolts per 12" section. All 4 grating pieces must be replaced every 5 years per VGB code.
Grating support thru the middle of the drain is constructed using FRP I beam for maximum weight bearing capability. Rated and tested for 600 lb load as per VGB code.
Connections are PVC U.S. Schedule 80 fittings laminated to the body of the drain available in 3 sizes: 6", 8" and 10". Call for 10 inch sizing.
Includes 1-1/2" hydrostatic relief valve with collector tube located in the bottom of the drain.
No electrical bonding of main drain required due to FRP construction.
Includes 3 external FRP angles with holes to tie the main drain to rebar to prevent movement during installation.
ASME/ANSI A112.19.8-2007 listed.
Rated for 1027 GPM at 1.5 feet per second.
