Description of Olympic No. 219 Steel Primer One Quart.

Special care must be taken to ensure the success of coating metal pool surfaces. Aluminum, steel, and galvanized steel all have their special properties which require the selection of the appropriate primer. Bare metal should receive two coats of primer to eliminate pinholes and corrosion. DO NOT use the primer over an existing coating.

No. 219 STEEL PRIMER is for bare steel pool surfaces. Bare steel must be sandblasted, degreased, and primed immediately. (See No. 220 for galvanized steel.) Refer to label instructions for application.

Coverage: 200 - 250 square feet per gallon.

No. 219 STEEL PRIMER is also used for priming bare metal surfaces before applying Super Convoy (but not Super Convoy II).

Primer recoating time:
Approx. 4 hours @ 90 F
Approx. 6 hours @ 80 F
Approx. over night @ 72 F
Approx. 24 hours @ 60 F
