Description of Secchi Disk with 50 Foot Rope
The Secchi Disk is used to measure how deep a person can see into the water. This is a measurement of water clarity. This clarity measurement is required by a majority of the states’ health boards.
Our disk is double sided. The Secchi side is an eight inch diameter disk with alternate black and white quadrants. The other side is a black six-inch circle on a white background. Each disk comes with a 50 foot ¼” rope for easy retrieval.
