Description of Gizzmos are Designed for Absorbing Expansion of Ice in Pool Skimmers.

The original GIZZMO is designed to absorb the expansion of ice in swimming pool skimmers. We are currently offering three styles: Regular GIZZMO, Super New GIZZMO, and the Super Duper Ultra GIZZMO.

Regular GIZZMO. The regular is designed to absorb the expansion of winter freeze-up in swimming pool skimmers. It is 9 inches long and installs in short skimmers found in both above ground and in-ground swimming pools. The Regular GIZZMO has 1-1/2 inch threads and features a generous bar style grip for easy handling.

Super New GIZZMO. The Super GIZZMO is also designed to absorb the expansion of winter freeze-up in swimming pool skimmers. It is 16 inches long and installs in big deep skimmers of most in-ground swimming pools. The Super New GIZZMO has both 1-1/2 and 2 inch threads and features a generous bar style handle. The double threads offer convenience by accommodating most skimmers with one item.

Super Duper Ultra GIZZMO. The Ultra GIZZMO uses the unique sealed air cushion of the GIZZMO combined with a built in blowout tube. It is 18 inches in length. The choice of 1-1/2 or 2 inch tapered pipe threads allows the Ultra to accommodate most skimmers. The integral blowout tube provides the option to use the Ultra GIZZMO as a suction line extension to clear the lines without lowering the water level in the pool. The Ultra GIZZMO features double threads with rubber gaskets, a blowout tube with a rugged cap and generous lug style grips around the top for easy handling and convenience.

For a professional fit, the GIZZMO's can be used with teflon tape. (Teflon tape is a very thin white tape used to wrap the threaded ends of pipes to improve the watertightness of a joint.) The GIZZMO is designed for single season use. Please remember to recycle this product.
