Color-Matching Kits

Ideal Alkalinity/pH Levels
Alkalinity levels should be between 80 and 120 parts per million (ppm). And your pH levels should be between 7.2 and 7.8 ppm.

Description
This is a Pentair Rainbow #78HR All-in-One 4-Way Test Kit that tests for Chlorine, pH, Acid Demand, and Total Alkalinity using drop test and color comparator method. It includes a water test booklet, instructions and is housed in a blue display box. It includes a lucite test cell with wide standards. This All-in-One is a good kit residential pools.Testing sanitation levels and pH are the most important tests for pools. The chlorine level should stay between 1.0 and 3.0 parts per million (ppm) to maintain a healthy pool. A pool's pH levels should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6.

Instructions for All-In-One 4-Way Test (pH Test)
1. Fill large vial to solid line.2. Add 1 drop solution #4 (2 drops if Chlorine test is above 1.5 ppm) and mix by swirling.
3. Add 5 drops solution #2 and mix by swirling and compare test to pH color standards.
4. If reading is above 7.8, perform Acid Demand Test #3 using this same water sample. Test and adjust total alkalinity (if needed) before adjusting pH.
