Isopropyl alcohol is an effective cleaner for surface preparation. Install all joint applications in accordance with ASTM and SWRI recommendations and guidelines. Maintain sealant at room temperature before application to ensure adequate tooling and adhesion. Its excellent adhesion to clean masonry or concrete allows it to be installed without a primer in most joints smaller than 1\/2 inch wide. Eliminating masking tape and tooling results in a significant reduction in labor.
