Advantages of DPD Test Kits
DPD Test Kits test for the level of disinfectant present (free chlorine) in your pool water with a high degree of accuracy. Many of the kits include tests for pH and other factors.
Color-Matching Kits
The color-matching test kits and drop-count titrations give straightforward answers. They are available with 3/4, 1 or 2 ounce reagents and/or tablets reagents.
Ideal Chlorine and pH Levels
A good chlorine level is between 1.0 and 4.0 ppm (parts per million) while the pH should be between 7.2 and 7.8 ppm.

Description
This is a LaMotte Pool Manager Tablet Series Kit just for chlorine and pH testing. The kit utilizes the precise Octa-Slide 2 comparator system to comply with regulatory standards.This kit includes 2 Octa-Slide color bars with 8 translucent color standards for Chlorine and pH. A 50-page reference manual for entry level lifeguards and service personnel is included with information on water balance, sanitizers, dosage charts and testing. The Pool Manager series also includes diagrammed instructions and saturation index calculator in a tough, blow-molded carrying case.

General Instructions for Free Chlorine
1. Insert Chlorine Octa-Slide 2 Bar into the Octa-Slide 2 Viewer.2. Fill tube to 5 mL line with sample water.
3. Add one DPD #1R tablet to tube. Cap and mix until tablet disintegrates.
4. Insert test tube into Octa-Slide 2 Viewer.
5. Match sample to a color standard. Record as ppm Free Chlorine. Do not discard sample if Total Chlorine is to be tested.
