Description
The Zoll Pedi-Padz II electrodes are designed for use on children up to eight years of age or weighing less than 55 lbs./25 kg. These pediatric electrodes are only used on the AED Plus and AED Pro defibrillators. The AED Plus and AED Pro can sense when pediatric electrodes are attached. They switch from adult to pediatric ECG analysis algorithm.When Pedi-Padz II are used with the AED Plus or AED Pro, the device provides voice and text prompts to tell rescuers that the Pedi-Padz II are connected. The anatomical diagrams on the package facilitate proper pad placement. This ensures that the proper defibrillator electrodes are being used.
With Pedi-Padz II, separate and specific algorithms designed for children are used to analyze the victim's heart rhythm. The Zoll defibrillator automatically reduces energy to provide pediatric-specific therapy.
