Description
ChemLink NovaLink SL 28-ounce cartridge is a self-leveling, moisture-curing construction sealant designed specifically for use in horizontal concrete expansion joints, whether the surface is damp or dry. Available in multiple colors, NovaLink SL presents a smooth finish and bonds well to concrete, aluminum, steel, slate, natural stone, clay tile, and surrounding swimming pools and water features. NovaLink SL will not outgas or bubble when applied to damp concrete or in damp weather. It cures rapidly to a solid rubber seal that can accommodate 25% joint movement
When working with the sealant, bonding surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from any contamination that may inhibit performance. Isopropyl alcohol is an effective cleaner for surface preparation. Install all joint applications in accordance with ASTM and SWRI recommendations and guidelines. Maintain sealant at room temperature before application to ensure adequate tooling and adhesion. Its excellent adhesion to clean masonry or concrete allows it to be installed without a primer in most joints smaller than 1/2 inch wide. Eliminating masking tape and tooling results in a significant reduction in labor. NovaLink SL Sealant is solvent-free and will not shrink.
