Maryland Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations 

Regulations for the State of Maryland for commercial swimming pools dictates the required safety equipment, pool rules signs, safety signs as well as various other traditional construction and safety regulations related to swimming pools.

Notes: The Maryland COMAR 10.17.01.04 requires distinct wording on their No Lifeguard sign which must be posted at semi-public pools or public spas that do not have a lifeguard on duty. Pool rules must be posted at the entrance. Most commercial swimming pool rules signs will comply with the Maryland rules as long as they incorporate all common safety and health regulations required for swimming pools.
