Oregon Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations
Regulations for the State of Oregon for commercial swimming pools dictates the required safety equipment, pool rules signs, safety signs as well as various other traditional construction and safety regulations related to swimming pools.

Notes: | The Pool Rules sign for Oregon is required to be a minimum of 18 x 24 inches. In addition, there are specific regulations outlined for No Diving Pools, Diving Pools and Wading Pools as well as express Warning No Lifeguard signs that are required to be displayed. |

Safety Equipment Notes
- Rescue Pole 12' Required
- Ring Buoy 18" Life Ring Buoy Required
- Throw Line 30' throw line required.
- Depth Markers At minimum and maximum depth points and at 1 ft depth increments in the shallow portion. At slope breaks. Spaced at no more that 25 ft. intervals. In feet. Deck non-slip. SPA: Maximum clearly marked. Uniformly placed around. 4” lettering Anti-slip.
- Lifeguard Chair Elevated Lifeguard Chairs are required at least 6 feet in height, one chair per every 120 feet of pool perimeter. Exception to this is where more than one chair required, there will be one chair on other side of pool.
- Rope & Float Line 2 feet on shallow side, anchored, with visible floats at not greater than 7’ intervals. (Also separating Slides)
