Product Information
Description
This is a Zinc plated hex head cap screw 3/4"-10 x 4-1/2". Grade 5 Hex Head Cap Screws are manufactured from medium carbon steel that has been quenched and tempered for strength. Grade 5 Cap Screws offer a balance of strength, ductility, and economy and are commonly used in general maintenance applications. Hex Head Cap screws feature an integral washer face under the head for a smooth bearing surface and a chamfered thread at the tip to allow for ease of assembly. They can be used in a threaded hole or mated with a nut in a through bolting application.Grade 5 bolts are identified by a head marking with 3 radial lines evenly spaced 120 degrees apart. They meet the material specification SAE J429 Grade 5. Zinc Plated Gr.5 HHCS are Zinc Plated with a Trivalent Chromate secondary layer that offers additional protection from corrosion, is RoHS compliant, and has an attractive silver or silver/blue appearance.
