Pool Algaecides

Pool Algaecide is a chemical used to kill and control algae growth in swimming pools. It works by breaking down the cell walls of algae, preventing it from reproducing and spreading. Pool Algaecide can also help remove existing algae from the pool water and prevent future regrowth. It is important to note that Pool Algaecide does not replace regular maintenance, such as cleaning the pool’s filter and performing regular water tests. Improperly maintained pools can still experience algal blooms even after using Pool Algaecide. Pool Algaecide must be added carefully, according to package instructions, or it can damage pool surfaces, equipment, and cause skin irritation in swimmers if concentrations are too high. It should also be noted that while Pool Algaecide is effective against many types of algae, it may not work on all types of algae present in a pool. In these cases, additional treatments may be necessary to eliminate certain species of algae.
