Product Description
This is a Schedule 80 Blind Flange for 2 inch pipe. The Schedule 80 flanges are constructed of Rigid Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Compounds and Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) Compounds. Schedule 80 fittings are manufactured to ASTM D 2467 standards. This PVC flange complies with the perimeters specified in ANSI B16.5 for bolt patterns. Maximum pressure rating is 150 PSI at 73 degrees F with a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees F.Blind flanges are used to seal or cap the end of a pipeline, valve, or pressure vessel opening, completely blocking the flow of fluids or gases. Unlike other flanges which feature a center bore to allow flow, a blind flange is solid and has no opening. It has bolt holes around its perimeter that match a standard flange patterns. This allows it to be bolted into place to create a secure, leak-proof seal, typically using a gasket.
