Description
The Velocity Long Reach Side Mount Starting Platform with TrueTread and Track Star is engineered for superior performance and durability in competitive swimming environments. The Long Reach has an anchor setback of 33 to 40 inches, which is ideal for pools with a large gutter system or unique configurations that require a longer reach over the water. It has a dual-post anchoring system using the Dual-Post Rock Solid anchor, sold separately as item 27-108. The Rock Solid anchor eliminates platform movement.
This Velocity Long Reach platform features a Track Start wedge that will help swimmers maximize take-off power and adopt the modern, race-ready stance commonly used in elite competitions. The Velocity platforms feature a fiberglass footboard that has outstanding strength, a sleek design, and a high-tech appearance. The frames are constructed of commercial-grade stainless steel and then powder-coated for extra protection. The side-mounted platforms are suitable for facilities where end-deck installation is not possible or practical. In addition, the TrueTread surface provides a secure, high-traction footing for swimmers, even in wet conditions.
The Velocity dual-post is compatible with both Colorado and Daktronics timing systems. The platforms meet FINA, NCAA, NFSH, and USMS competition rules and guidelines. They are great for championship venues, training centers, and collegiate programs looking to upgrade their current platforms, preparing for future competitions.
